I only became aware of this phone brand through a conversation with a friend about longtermism and technology's role in it. Love the design and colour-scheme! One of the first things to notice however is it's weight, it's lightweight (compared to older phone). The other feature I really like is the 'Moments' mode via the switch on the side of the phone. This lets you control selected apps upto a maximum of 5 under different labels, e.g 'Recharge' or 'Focus Time'. Great for managing notification noise depending on personal activities without needing to go into individual app settings. I have generally noticed much less distraction and time spent on the device compared to previous iOS device - which is obviously healthier. Only downside is switching to Android from iOS for the first time, but I am hoping this is really just a case of getting used to a different OS over time.

I was sent a second hand Moto E15 instead of the fairphone 6 I ordered. I have been waiting two weeks and still it has not been resolved.

I would like to be able to conect the phone to a monitor. on the other hand please, support the postmarketos project developing proper linux drivers

After 17 years of using an iPhone I switched to a Fairphone a couple of weeks ago. It was a smooth transition - both in terms of the hardware and available apps. And it feels good to cut the ties with Google and Apple (using e/OS now).

Very happy with my new Fairphone. Great quality, perfect size, easy to set up. Basically, it does what you'd expect from a new phone - but it helps knowing that measures have been taken to reduce carbon footprint, pay workers and strengthen durability.

Biggest drawbacks are a processor that's a bit slow on the uptake and the low water resistance but i would still buy it again. The concept of a phone that's fair to the supplier staff combined with the repairability isn't just a gimick

I'm not very happy with the phone: - brightness automatic sensors doesnt work amazingly: sometimes is just too bright even in total darkness, sometimes if you are in bright environment, but behind you is there is something dark, the brighness is too dark. Also, if you change it manually, the setting doesnt stick (until the screen is turned off at least) and it goes down right away at the auto level, so its basically impossible to temporary override the auto brightness setting without turning it off. - WiFi is quite buggy: is the only phone of the house refusing to play well with ipv6, sometimes it loses connectivity, and a turn on and off wifi on the device is needed to make it work again. Sometimes the wifi is reported as low quality, even if it has max signal (we have 2.5 gbit fiber at home) - Wifi calling is often cutting off and make the calls stuttering (I have the same carrier I had with my previous phone, which worked flawlessy) - The microphone volume is quite low (everyone says that seems I'm "far away" from the phone during calls)

I am very satisfied with the phone. I love that the phone has many opened settings and is very customizable. I bought this phone with reason to easily repair it later when the battery or some other part is damaged.

Bought this as a replacement for my one plus 7 pro because it's battery had worn down. It's great. Only complaint is the buttons are positioned so I keep accidentally taking a screenshot when I'm locking the phone. But I installed an app to let me lock the phone a different way. Love the ethos behind it.

It's a bit fat. The mood switch is pointless. My old One+3 had a mute switch that was useful. Only time will tell whether the reliability, longevity and repairability are actually useful.

So far, I am satisfied, but... I miss the notification led (now I have to touch the screen to see if I have any message). I miss the audio jack, very useful if my headphones do not have battery. And it has less card slots than my old FP3. I cannot have 2 SIM cards and one memory card, either I have one SIM and one eSIM, but no memory card, or I have the memory card, but only one eSIM.

The slow load on apps when on wifi - that came in after a recent update - kills the device. Needs to be fixed asap for this phone to perform.

This is a great phone, it's a nice size and weight. I love the physical switch on the side for me to switch off. I had the v3 of this phone, and got a good five years out of it. I'm looking forward to longer from this one.

I bought the Fairphone one month ago and I'm doing very well with it

Lock button is hard to press with the case, and it is too easy to press any of the volume buttons by mistake while attempting to lock the phone. This causes unintentional screen captures or prevent ringing, which I had to disable to avoid missing calls. These shortcuts could also use more customisation.

I like the simplicity of the phone. Without the bloatwear it's good . So far I have had no issues and I like the phone and the fact that it can be repaired by me.

i havent been able to use it yet - i dont have the promised screen protector for it and i have no idea how to transfer the data from my old phone which i still love to this new one. so i have no idea how good the phone is or not but i dont sem to be able to communicate with your company and get responded to either

I bought this a month ago and am happy that I did. I found the transition from an iphone somewhat difficult, but it was still manageable, so overall I am content with the purchase.

Really weird to have the lock button and the volume buttons directly opposite each other on each side of the phone so that when you try and lock the phone by bracing with your fingers on the opposite side from the lock button you end up taking a screenshot. Otherwise, great! Only other thing I'd say is that there needs to be more useful things the switch on the side can do; I think flicking it triggering lockdown mode would be ideal. Can't fault it otherwise.

I'm quite happy with the product so far and it makes me feel happy to know that is somewhat responsibly sourced and serviceable.

Overall the phone is okay, good battery life and looks good. I don't like where the volume buttons are they have moved to the opposite side and I keep hitting them when I try to turn the display on resulting in a screen shot. I bought a watch case which is good but I felt it was quite expensive for a small piece of plastic.

As a medium-weight user, the phone 100% meets my needs - it does everything it's supposed to. The "moments" switch helps me focus when I need to. I wish the device was a little smaller, but I was aware of this trade-off and wouldn't rather spend this money on a mainstream phone. The occasional freezes are solved by a screen lock and unlock.

While I’m 100% behind the company's mission of sustainability and repairability, the daily experience has been a bit of a mixed bag, leading me to give it 3 out of 5 stars. The hardware itself is impressive, and I love the modular design. However, the software feels unpolished. I’ve encountered frequent lags and stuttering during normal use. Most frustratingly, the touchscreen occasionally freezes or becomes unresponsive, forcing me to wait or reboot. Even after adjusting the settings to 120Hz, the fluidity isn't where it should be for a phone in 2026 I am happy with my choice because I want to support ethical tech, but I truly hope future software updates will stabilize the performance. It’s a brave device, but it currently feels like a work in progress. I really hope also that in the future there will be the possibilities to purchase mod to improve mayby camera or better speaker

Switched about 2 weeks ago from an iPhone to the Fairphone and I thought it was going to be tougher, but it was so easy. My partner has the Fairphone5 and I decided long ago, when my phone breaks, I will also make the Switch. I was already prepared for a lot of drawbacks, but the Fairphone 6 is a serious upgrade to the 5 - and it's so pretty! Still getting used to Android in general, but the phone itself is amazing. Especially the Switch which you can program easily to your needs - so convenient. I also really like the Sim and Memory Card Slot that you can access without having to open up the phone and taking out the battery (like with the FP5) and that you can still easily switch the battery, but everything is a bit more secured, because how much do you really need to switch out the battery? Anyways, great phone, super nice design, really happy about the Switch(es), period.

I am very satisfied with the phone. Not impressive specs, but still worth it for sustainability.

Everything works well and smooth, camera is decently good, interface can be customized a bit. My only slight annoyance is that screen touch sensitivity is occassionally a bit off, but barely noticable. Happy with my purchase overall after the first month.

I do find it good, particularly as most of it is similar to my old Android phone. Sometimes it can be slow, though (I don't know why, I was only on Instagram!). I find the button placement a bit annoying too. Why are they opposite the power button?! All in all, I think I'm just getting used to it. I feel great about the ethical considerations.

All my previous phones, mostly Pixels, died due to parts breaking. From battery, buttons , charging port and of course screens. Rapairs was not cheap compared to the phone values or create further problems. The Fairphone seems very robusts and durable plus is going to be less painful to put back to work when it will age. Anyway the screen is more brighter that reported by the spec and overall I am happy to buy European products.

This is a great replacement for my 10 year old smartphone. The repairability of the battery and USB port are the biggest selling points for me- both having been the failure points for my last phone. There are just a few issues I've had though. Namely, the screen flickers when viewing certain animated GIFs. It's also really hard to shut off unwanted AI features. You think you have found the main off switch and then you find it popping up somewhere else. Perhaps this is an Android thing in general. The phone is worth the money though.

The only two issues I have so far is the light detection going off randomly (screen gets too bright or too dark all of a sudden). And my bottom volume button is really wobbly, it feels like it will fall out in a month or two. Other than that it's fine.

Location of physical buttons unsuitable for left handed people. The integration of fingerprint sensor into unlock button is really botched for left handed. I will not going forward to buying any successor if the designers omit left handed people in their design ideas. Android 16 brought two nasty bugs that could have easily been detected with a proper test suite.

First month with the FP6 and no problems so far. I tested all the main features and everything worked smoothly. Android Auto was an initial concern for me, but I haven’t experienced any issues with it. The hotspot gave me trouble a couple of times—it didn’t activate, and I had to manually turn Wi-Fi off. On most systems this happens automatically, so that could be improved. Overall, no major issues, and I really appreciate the absence of aggressive ads or pre-installed vendor apps, unlike my previous phones (all of them—Chinese, US, etc.). I haven’t opened it or replaced any components yet, and hopefully I won’t need to, but it’s great to have that option—especially since my previous phones ended up damaged by my kids.

They have not shipped my phone yet. I am still trying to get through to them to get my order shipped.

It's got potential but the Android 16 update applied a few days after getting it has wrecked it. Not great communication on the website about fix timing. No response to support tickets. I am sympathetic to Fairphone being overwhelmed but not am so disappointed. If no fix in next week or, it's going to have to go back.

I bought it as a replacement for the Fairphone 3 I was using since 2019. In most respects it is a perfect upgrade, since it is about the same size and shape, (somewhat smaller/lighter even than the 5th) and vastly improved on the screen, camera and compute fronts. I can take beautiful pictures for technical and artistic reasons, and have barely any wait times with and hitches with apps and graphics performance. The only compromise is that I still have USB2.0 and no prospect of using an external display, which is a desirable feature with Android 16. But I survived without that so far. The other features make up for it. Here's to another 7 years.

I love this phone. So easy to transfer everything from my old Samsung S23. Battery life is great. Considering I BT music all day at work, it will last a day+ easily. I love the fact that you can add extra external storage. And being able to replace parts quickly and inexpensively is fantastic.

Over all I am very happy with the Fair phone 6. Excellent phone connection from my previous Moto g Pro.

it's a fine phone, though it still comes with all the usual android headaches. i don't enjoy phones, really. i leave it with most of the features disabled and battery saver on - it's here for the occasional text, auth code, bank check, and discord and telegram while i'm out. this is a fine phone for that purpose, with the battery lasting most of the week. it's a suitable replacement for a dying moto g7 power. the rest of this review is small aggravations. android updates bring problems. i don't know how much of this is fairphone's responsibility, or upstream. a week after i got the phone, it updated, and the charge readout was changed from a large number beside the battery icon to a very small number inside the battery icon; it has poor contrast with the yellow fill the icon gets when battery saver is enabled, so i now have to squint and bring the phone very close to my face to see the charge. this is needless regression. toggling wifi requires going into a submenu with no ability to separate the buttons for wifi and data in the swipe-down tray.

My Fp6 replaced a pixel 3a I'd had for the best part of a decade. I plan to keep this just as long

I was skeptical about finger print sensor integrated in a start button but it work well. Only complaint would be the position of volume buttons, they are in a place where it is easy to press when grabbing the phone. Its very minor. Other wise phone performs very well. Camera is good too. My first phone without an audio jack, and I hate it. The Fairbuds are a nightmare: they don't go loud enough, and I can't seem to disable the annoying touch functions. Using a USB-C dongle automatically makes apps start playing without my wanting it. I regret buying it.

Experience not great. Have to enter my PIN to answer calls. Had to downgrade to 2G to see caller i.d. If I have to MFA the original screen asking for code refreshes so I need my laptop.

I bought FF6 after 10 years of FF3 - which was still working fine, by the way. Some things I don't like about FF6: - to save battery, the warning/blinking light was omitted! so now I have to check manually every time for messages - fingerprint/face sensor are a bit slow, so if you just quickly switch to start screen to check for messages and then turn off again, often it still switches back on to home screen after a second or so - positioning of volume buttons (L) opposite from on/off button (and fingerprint sensor) R results in accidental screenshots all the time. very annoying - on/off button really narrow and sunken so you need good contact to activate the sensor. this doesn't work properly with the protective casing! - the camera is still not very good; my girlfriend's old Samsung Galaxy wins hands down in picture and video quality - the "forest green" colour is more like "recycled plastic" - very ecological, no doubt, but not very beautiful

Was purchased for my wife, its well built, easy to use, no bloatware, we already purchased a second for our daughter and once my wallet recovers a 3rd for me

Very good phone. Feels and reacts just like any other high end smartphone but with a great look and the added benefit of protecting my privacy way better and helping my conscience by being less terrible for the environment. I recommend it to everyone around me.

I am very happy with my Fairphone, mainly for its sustainable supply chain. I would definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues. For the technical point of view, it has great battery capacity, lasting up to three days when fully charged, with adjustable recovery mode to improve the lifespan of the battery. There are some nice privacy and "disconnection" features that are really neat. The only flaw (at least in my case) is that the touchscreen is a bit glitchy and sometimes I need to restart the app where the touchscreen got erratic.

Does what it says on the tin. Excellent Android device that looks good and works well. The transparency and ethos of Fairphone is unmatched by other alternative options. I did a lot of research before committing but I'm so glad I did. I was even surprised how quickly I adjusted to Android after c. 10 years being an iPhone user. In many ways it's much much better.

Replaced my FP3 with this and it's a huge leap forward. I loved the FP3, but after 6 years it had become too slow. Fairphone continues moving forward and making improvements to both the products and the support and services.

I bought it with a protectiva case and I have (unintentionally) dropped it several times and it still works.

Sound is not as good as it could be and lack of back button like on my previous Google phone makes it a little clunky to navigate menus. Would be also improved with a more standard type finger print reader. Also I see no benefit of the yellow large slides button it could easily just be don't with an app or on phone digital button. Complete waste of resources.

One of the best smartphones I’ve had, and the main reason is the physical fingerprint scanner. Great battery, amazing storage capacity, and I love that it has eSIM. I don’t see anything critical missing compared to other flagship phones I’ve had previously. The only glitch I noticed is that it struggles to connect to Wi‑Fi via QR code scanning. It might be an autofocus issue; maybe it can be fixed with a software update. A big driver in purchasing this phone was the company’s mission, and I thought there might be something missing compared to the latest flagship phones, but I was pleasantly surprised to receive a decent product—and for me personally, even better because of the physical fingerprint scanner, storage, etc. I used to be a big OnePlus fan, and my last phone was the Pixel 8.

Perfect so far. Does the job. Nice and simple. Small for a phone these days, which is good. Simple design, not overly flashy, and I can easily replace parts, which is at is should be given that I own it.

cant complaxn about the hardware except for the lack of a 3.5mm jack. theres some software instability im sure will be ironed out but its mostly been games and stuff, nothing important. i like how the phone looks and plan to 3d print some of my own battery cover modules which isnt even a reasonable option you can think about on most phones

I liked this phone a lot, but just a few days after having it, a lot of glitches started popping up, the biggest issue being the screen pressing by itself which created a lot of unpleasent situations, for example; quickly exiting and entering apps, starting calls on it's own, and pressing random letters and sending them as messages :( I'm not sure if i did something wrong, i would really appreciate if you could help me understand if there are some settings i can change to fix this or something else... And i think it's important to mention i didn't have any screen protectors when this bug appeared, and that the device is often restarting by itself a few times a day.

I bought this phone because it is repairable, which means that I should be able to keep it for a long time, meaning it is more sustainable. I was worried it may be a little "behind the curve" compare to other new phones. I needn't have worried. It is much better in all respects than the phone it replaced. The up to date Android works really well with all the applications I am used to.

Lovely phone but the camera is really pretty poor. Particularly indoors the colours are undersaturated, very yellow tinted and just a huge step back in camera from my 6 year old Samsung. The most frustrating thing is that when you open the camera in instagram or lens, where the quality obviously suffers, the colours are absolutely fine. Other camera apps havent yielded better results and are often paywalled. Zooming in on details everything looks painted and is over-contrast. Fairphone just have exceptionally bad camera software. I really hope they fix it but I won't be getting another Fairphone when this one is no longer fixable. It was a massive disappointment for me and I would not recommend buying this fairphone if you expect predictable and consistent quality of photograph, particularly in terms of colour.

Bought this as a replacement for my one plus 7 pro because it's battery had worn down. It's great. Only complaint is the buttons are positioned so I keep accidentally taking a screenshot when I'm locking the phone. But I installed an app to let me lock the phone a different way. Love the ethos behind it.

It's a bit fat. The mood switch is pointless. My old One+3 had a mute switch that was useful. Only time will tell whether the reliability, longevity and repairability are actually useful.

So far, I am satisfied, but... I miss the notification led (now I have to touch the screen to see if I have any message). I miss the audio jack, very useful if my headphones do not have battery. And it has less card slots than my old FP3. I cannot have 2 SIM cards and one memory card, either I have one SIM and one eSIM, but no memory card, or I have the memory card, but only one eSIM.

The slow load on apps when on wifi - that came in after a recent update - kills the device. Needs to be fixed asap for this phone to perform.

This is a great phone, it's a nice size and weight. I love the physical switch on the side for me to switch off. I had the v3 of this phone, and got a good five years out of it. I'm looking forward to longer from this one.

I bought the Fairphone one month ago and I'm doing very well with it

Lock button is hard to press with the case, and it is too easy to press any of the volume buttons by mistake while attempting to lock the phone. This causes unintentional screen captures or prevent ringing, which I had to disable to avoid missing calls. These shortcuts could also use more customisation.

I like the simplicity of the phone. Without the bloatwear it's good . So far I have had no issues and I like the phone and the fact that it can be repaired by me.

i havent been able to use it yet - i dont have the promised screen protector for it and i have no idea how to transfer the data from my old phone which i still love to this new one. so i have no idea how good the phone is or not but i dont sem to be able to communicate with your company and get responded to either

I bought this a month ago and am happy that I did. I found the transition from an iphone somewhat difficult, but it was still manageable, so overall I am content with the purchase.

Really weird to have the lock button and the volume buttons directly opposite each other on each side of the phone so that when you try and lock the phone by bracing with your fingers on the opposite side from the lock button you end up taking a screenshot. Otherwise, great! Only other thing I'd say is that there needs to be more useful things the switch on the side can do; I think flicking it triggering lockdown mode would be ideal. Can't fault it otherwise.

I'm quite happy with the product so far and it makes me feel happy to know that is somewhat responsibly sourced and serviceable.

Overall the phone is okay, good battery life and looks good. I don't like where the volume buttons are they have moved to the opposite side and I keep hitting them when I try to turn the display on resulting in a screen shot. I bought a watch case which is good but I felt it was quite expensive for a small piece of plastic.

As a medium-weight user, the phone 100% meets my needs - it does everything it's supposed to. The "moments" switch helps me focus when I need to. I wish the device was a little smaller, but I was aware of this trade-off and wouldn't rather spend this money on a mainstream phone. The occasional freezes are solved by a screen lock and unlock.

After 6 years with Fairphone 3, I decided it was time to upgrade to The Fairphone (Gen. 6) running Android OS. So far I'm loving it! Setting it up was very easy: no issues at all. The camera is a huge step up from the Fairphone 3, especially for low-light photos. The software runs smoothly, no lag or crashes. The phone is fast and I haven’t had any issues with my apps. Finally, the Fairphone Moments app is great for cutting down distractions!

Everything was as I expected: Delivery in 3 days and effortless backup. The battery has an astonishing stamina and the screen is bright and shiny. I would repeat my decision without hesitating.

I recently switched from an iPhone 13 mini to the Fairphone 6. While I’m 100% behind the company's mission of sustainability and repairability, the daily experience has been a bit of a mixed bag, leading me to give it 3 out of 5 stars. The hardware itself is impressive, and I love the modular design. However, the software feels unpolished. I’ve encountered frequent lags and stuttering during normal use. Most frustratingly, the touchscreen occasionally freezes or becomes unresponsive, forcing me to wait or reboot. Even after adjusting the settings to 120Hz, the fluidity isn't where it should be for a phone in 2026 I am happy with my choice because I want to support ethical tech, but I truly hope future software updates will stabilize the performance. It’s a brave device, but it currently feels like a work in progress. I really hope also that in the future there will be the possibilities to purchase mod to improve mayby camera or better speaker

Switched about 2 weeks ago from an iPhone to the Fairphone and I thought it was going to be tougher, but it was so easy. My partner has the Fairphone5 and I decided long ago, when my phone breaks, I will also make the Switch. I was already prepared for a lot of drawbacks, but the Fairphone 6 is a serious upgrade to the 5 - and it's so pretty! Still getting used to Android in general, but the phone itself is amazing. Especially the Switch which you can program easily to your needs - so convenient. I also really like the Sim and Memory Card Slot that you can access without having to open up the phone and taking out the battery (like with the FP5) and that you can still easily switch the battery, but everything is a bit more secured, because how much do you really need to switch out the battery? Anyways, great phone, super nice design, really happy about the Switch(es), period.

I am very satisfied with the phone. Not impressive specs, but still worth it for sustainability.

Everything works well and smooth, camera is decently good, interface can be customized a bit. My only slight annoyance is that screen touch sensitivity is occassionally a bit off, but barely noticable. Happy with my purchase overall after the first month.

Exactly what I was looking for. Simple, repairable and works like a charm.

I do find it good, particularly as most of it is similar to my old Android phone. Sometimes it can be slow, though (I don't know why, I was only on Instagram!). I find the button placement a bit annoying too. Why are they opposite the power button?! All in all, I think I'm just getting used to it. I feel great about the ethical considerations.

All my previous phones, mostly Pixels, died due to parts breaking. From battery, buttons , charging port and of course screens. Rapairs was not cheap compared to the phone values or create further problems. The Fairphone seems very robusts and durable plus is going to be less painful to put back to work when it will age. Anyway the screen is more brighter that reported by the spec and overall I am happy to buy European products.

This is a great replacement for my 10 year old smartphone. The repairability of the battery and USB port are the biggest selling points for me- both having been the failure points for my last phone. There are just a few issues I've had though. Namely, the screen flickers when viewing certain animated GIFs. It's also really hard to shut off unwanted AI features. You think you have found the main off switch and then you find it popping up somewhere else. Perhaps this is an Android thing in general. The phone is worth the money though.

The only two issues I have so far is the light detection going off randomly (screen gets too bright or too dark all of a sudden). And my bottom volume button is really wobbly, it feels like it will fall out in a month or two. Other than that it's fine.

Location of physical buttons unsuitable for left handed people. The integration of fingerprint sensor into unlock button is really botched for left handed. I will not going forward to buying any successor if the designers omit left handed people in their design ideas. Android 16 brought two nasty bugs that could have easily been detected with a proper test suite.

First month with the FP6 and no problems so far. I tested all the main features and everything worked smoothly. Android Auto was an initial concern for me, but I haven’t experienced any issues with it. The hotspot gave me trouble a couple of times—it didn’t activate, and I had to manually turn Wi-Fi off. On most systems this happens automatically, so that could be improved. Overall, no major issues, and I really appreciate the absence of aggressive ads or pre-installed vendor apps, unlike my previous phones (all of them—Chinese, US, etc.). I haven’t opened it or replaced any components yet, and hopefully I won’t need to, but it’s great to have that option—especially since my previous phones ended up damaged by my kids.

They have not shipped my phone yet. I am still trying to get through to them to get my order shipped.

It's got potential but the Android 16 update applied a few days after getting it has wrecked it. Not great communication on the website about fix timing. No response to support tickets. I am sympathetic to Fairphone being overwhelmed but not am so disappointed. If no fix in next week or, it's going to have to go back.

I bought it as a replacement for the Fairphone 3 I was using since 2019. In most respects it is a perfect upgrade, since it is about the same size and shape, (somewhat smaller/lighter even than the 5th) and vastly improved on the screen, camera and compute fronts. I can take beautiful pictures for technical and artistic reasons, and have barely any wait times with and hitches with apps and graphics performance. The only compromise is that I still have USB2.0 and no prospect of using an external display, which is a desirable feature with Android 16. But I survived without that so far. The other features make up for it. Here's to another 7 years.

I love this phone. So easy to transfer everything from my old Samsung S23. Battery life is great. Considering I BT music all day at work, it will last a day+ easily. I love the fact that you can add extra external storage. And being able to replace parts quickly and inexpensively is fantastic.

Over all I am very happy with the Fair phone 6. Excellent phone connection from my previous Moto g Pro.

The gen 6 phone is great, proformance is really great, the build quality is excellent and it has run flawlessly since I received it. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to move to something that is repairable and built to last.

it's a fine phone, though it still comes with all the usual android headaches. i don't enjoy phones, really. i leave it with most of the features disabled and battery saver on - it's here for the occasional text, auth code, bank check, and discord and telegram while i'm out. this is a fine phone for that purpose, with the battery lasting most of the week. it's a suitable replacement for a dying moto g7 power. the rest of this review is small aggravations. android updates bring problems. i don't know how much of this is fairphone's responsibility, or upstream. a week after i got the phone, it updated, and the charge readout was changed from a large number beside the battery icon to a very small number inside the battery icon; it has poor contrast with the yellow fill the icon gets when battery saver is enabled, so i now have to squint and bring the phone very close to my face to see the charge. this is needless regression. toggling wifi requires going into a submenu with no ability to separate the buttons for wifi and data in the swipe-down tray.

My Fp6 replaced a pixel 3a I'd had for the best part of a decade. I plan to keep this just as long

Still getting used to phone, I’ve only had it for 3 weeks, it’s a bit different.Easy set up and happy with photos. Have problems with BBC Sounds and News which don’t load properly unless I’m using 5G, maybe this is a problem with the last Android update and I’m hoping there will be a patch soon

I was skeptical about finger print sensor integrated in a start button but it work well. Only complaint would be the position of volume buttons, they are in a place where it is easy to press when grabbing the phone. Its very minor. Other wise phone performs very well. Camera is good too. Well done!

My first phone without an audio jack, and I hate it. The Fairbuds are a nightmare: they don't go loud enough, and I can't seem to disable the annoying touch functions. Using a USB-C dongle automatically makes apps start playing without my wanting it. I regret buying it.

Experience not great. Have to enter my PIN to answer calls. Had to downgrade to 2G to see caller i.d. If I have to MFA the original screen asking for code refreshes so I need my laptop.

I bought FF6 after 10 years of FF3 - which was still working fine, by the way. Some things I don't like about FF6: - to save battery, the warning/blinking light was omitted! so now I have to check manually every time for messages - fingerprint/face sensor are a bit slow, so if you just quickly switch to start screen to check for messages and then turn off again, often it still switches back on to home screen after a second or so - positioning of volume buttons (L) opposite from on/off button (and fingerprint sensor) R results in accidental screenshots all the time. very annoying - on/off button really narrow and sunken so you need good contact to activate the sensor. this doesn't work properly with the protective casing! - the camera is still not very good; my girlfriend's old Samsung Galaxy wins hands down in picture and video quality - the "forest green" colour is more like "recycled plastic" - very ecological, no doubt, but not very beautiful

Was purchased for my wife, its well built, easy to use, no bloatware, we already purchased a second for our daughter and once my wallet recovers a 3rd for me

Very good phone. Feels and reacts just like any other high end smartphone but with a great look and the added benefit of protecting my privacy way better and helping my conscience by being less terrible for the environment. I recommend it to everyone around me.

I am very happy with my Fairphone, mainly for its sustainable supply chain. I would definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues. For the technical point of view, it has great battery capacity, lasting up to three days when fully charged, with adjustable recovery mode to improve the lifespan of the battery. There are some nice privacy and "disconnection" features that are really neat. The only flaw (at least in my case) is that the touchscreen is a bit glitchy and sometimes I need to restart the app where the touchscreen got erratic.

Does what it says on the tin. Excellent Android device that looks good and works well. The transparency and ethos of Fairphone is unmatched by other alternative options. I did a lot of research before committing but I'm so glad I did. I was even surprised how quickly I adjusted to Android after c. 10 years being an iPhone user. In many ways it's much much better.

Replaced my FP3 with this and it's a huge leap forward. I loved the FP3, but after 6 years it had become too slow. Fairphone continues moving forward and making improvements to both the products and the support and services.

I bought it with a protectiva case and I have (unintentionally) dropped it several times and it still works.

Sound is not as good as it could be and lack of back button like on my previous Google phone makes it a little clunky to navigate menus. Would be also improved with a more standard type finger print reader. Also I see no benefit of the yellow large slides button it could easily just be don't with an app or on phone digital button. Complete waste of resources.

One of the best smartphones I’ve had, and the main reason is the physical fingerprint scanner. Great battery, amazing storage capacity, and I love that it has eSIM. I don’t see anything critical missing compared to other flagship phones I’ve had previously. The only glitch I noticed is that it struggles to connect to Wi‑Fi via QR code scanning. It might be an autofocus issue; maybe it can be fixed with a software update. A big driver in purchasing this phone was the company’s mission, and I thought there might be something missing compared to the latest flagship phones, but I was pleasantly surprised to receive a decent product—and for me personally, even better because of the physical fingerprint scanner, storage, etc. I used to be a big OnePlus fan, and my last phone was the Pixel 8.

Perfect so far. Does the job. Nice and simple. Small for a phone these days, which is good. Simple design, not overly flashy, and I can easily replace parts, which is at is should be given that I own it.

cant complaxn about the hardware except for the lack of a 3.5mm jack. theres some software instability im sure will be ironed out but its mostly been games and stuff, nothing important. i like how the phone looks and plan to 3d print some of my own battery cover modules which isnt even a reasonable option you can think about on most phones

Hello! I liked this phone a lot, but just a few days after having it, a lot of glitches started popping up, the biggest issue being the screen pressing by itself which created a lot of unpleasent situations, for example; quickly exiting and entering apps, starting calls on it's own, and pressing random letters and sending them as messages :( I'm not sure if i did something wrong, i would really appreciate if you could help me understand if there are some settings i can change to fix this or something else... And i think it's important to mention i didn't have any screen protectors when this bug appeared, and that the device is often restarting by itself a few times a day.

I bought this phone because it is repairable, which means that I should be able to keep it for a long time, meaning it is more sustainable. I was worried it may be a little "behind the curve" compare to other new phones. I needn't have worried. It is much better in all respects than the phone it replaced. The up to date Android works really well with all the applications I am used to.

Lovely phone but the camera is really pretty poor. Particularly indoors the colours are undersaturated, very yellow tinted and just a huge step back in camera from my 6 year old Samsung. The most frustrating thing is that when you open the camera in instagram or lens, where the quality obviously suffers, the colours are absolutely fine. Other camera apps havent yielded better results and are often paywalled. Zooming in on details everything looks painted and is over-contrast. Fairphone just have exceptionally bad camera software. I really hope they fix it but I won't be getting another Fairphone when this one is no longer fixable. It was a massive disappointment for me and I would not recommend buying this fairphone if you expect predictable and consistent quality of photograph, particularly in terms of colour.
